<h2>GLADIATOR trolling reel</h2> The Gladiator Reel was born from the will and a project of the expert technician Sergio Riccò, born in Modena but who soon emigrated to Venezuela. Back in Italy at the end of the 1960s his passion for the sea combined with some Venezuelan deep-sea fishing experiences led him, since in those years there was a lack of specific products for Big Game, to design and build the Gladiator reel. After a few years of testing (which was followed by patent application No. 31039) and excellent practical results he began the production of the Gladiator also assisted by other collaborators. Some time later Mr. Ricò thought of contacting Carlo D'Olivo president of Italcanna to improve the commercial diffusion of the product and shortly after in the 1970s Mr. D'Olivo personally became part of the Gladiator company and then took it over completely a few years later upon the death of his friend Sergio. For all these years the Gladiator company produced highly specialized equipment for deep-sea fishing such as rings, handles, etc. The Gladiator has over time always stood out for its simplicity of operation and elegance, and was the first reel in the world with an electric contact sound beacon for shoaling (it could operate the boat siren or other electric means - 1st prize Spoga Koln 1979 - Germany). In the following years due to a strong demand for the product, production agreements were also made with other companies that further improved the quality level. The reel GLADIATOR is the perfect match for Italcanna rods and together they have won over the years numerous Italian, European and World Championships (as visible in the news area) as well as several catch records. Technique, experience but also deep passion for sea fishing are therefore at the basis of a Gladiator reel that is now made of anti-corrosion alloy and stainless steel (on high-speed bearings) and is a real strong point on the market for lightness, performance and reliability. Every single computer-designed component is then made on extremely precise machining centers, and using it you will appreciate the innovative lever non-return system (by means of a free wheel) and the easy adjustment of a cam-driven carbon clutch that does not allow for errors from over-tightening or wigging due to full spool release. The special off-center ergonomic handle made of reinforced abs allows not only a better grip, but also makes it easier to hold because it is always upright, as well as transmits more power to the axle. The elegance of the nickel/anti-corodal contrasts is enhanced by laser engravings that will not fade or fade over time. Dopo qualche anno di prove (a cui fece seguito la domanda di brevetto nr. 31039) ed ottimi risultati pratici inizio la produzione del Gladiator affiancato anche da altri collaboratori. Qualche tempo dopo il sig. Ricò pensò di contattare Carlo D’Olivo presidente della Italcanna per migliorare la diffusione commerciale del prodotto e poco dopo negli anni 70 il Sig. D’Olivo entra personalmente a far parte della società Gladiator per poi rilevarla completamente qualche anno dopo alla scomparsa dell'amico Sergio. Per tutti questi anni la società Gladiator ha prodotto attrezzature altamente specializzate per la pesca d’altura come anelli, manici ecc. Il Gladiator si è nel tempo sempre distinto per semplicità di funzionamento ed eleganza, ed è stato il primo mulinello al mondo con segnalatore acustico a contatto elettrico di ferrata (poteva azionare la sirena di bordo od altro mezzo elettrico - 1° premio Spoga Koln 1979 - Germania). Negli anni successivi a causa di una forte richiesta di prodotto furono fatti anche accordi di produzione con altre aziende che ne migliorarono ulteriormente il livello qualitativo. Il mulinello GLADIATOR è il perfetto connubio per le canne Italcanna ed insieme hanno conquistato negli anni numerosi campionati Italiani, Europei e Mondiali (come visibili nell'area news) oltre a diversi records di cattura. Tecnica, esperienza ma anche profonda passione per la pesca in mare sono quindi alla base di un mulinello Gladiator che viene oggi realizzato in lega anticorrosione ed acciaio inox (su cuscinetti ad alta velocità) e costituisce un vero punto di forza sul mercato per leggerezza, prestazioni ed affidabilità. Ogni singolo componente progettato al computer è realizzato poi su centri di lavoro di estrema precisione, ed usandolo potrete apprezzare l’innovativo sistema di non ritorno della leva (mediante ruota libera) e la facile regolazione di una frizione in carbonio guidata da una camma che non consente errori per troppo serraggio o parrucche dovute allo sblocco totale della bobina. La particolare maniglia ergonomica decentrata in abs rinforzato consente non solo di impugnarla meglio, ma anche di facilitarne la presa perché sempre in verticale, oltre a trasmette più potenza all’asse. L’eleganza dei contrasti nichel / anticorodal è esaltata da incisioni al laser che non si scolorano o affievoliscono nel tempo. <h2>Italcanna aspide surfcasting fishing rod </h2> We are aware that rods are just a tool to spend a few hours of freedom on the beach, but if you, like us, like to challenge the impossible you have to take a look at the Aspide, and we are not referring to aesthetics... The Aspide born at the specific request of one of our collaborators who then also took care of the testing, is the latest fruit of our research and development team, and required several hours of design, 5 prototypes and the use of 8 different materials. The requirement was to be able to have a high-power rod capable of holding a long lever during loading to achieve high escape velocity, yet without stiffening the tip, indeed, bringing it thin to the point so that during casting it would reset completely, but then return to full efficiency and sensitivity when fishing. All this without breaking, using "the best material par excellence," a small diameter, maximum possible lightness and, above all, most difficult of all: fitting it all together so as not to have a broken action. It is therefore based on an innovative concept, never attempted before, a new way of thinking about the fishing rod different from all ours and all other rods on the market. In fact there are other hard rods around, but the Aspide exaggerates even more than the Vitium the "Hard with a Sensitive Soul" concept that despite the powerful leverage, accompanies the bait in the initial phase. By jerking it loose you will not be able to understand what we are saying: the feel is that of a two-piece, but looking at the tip we realize that something is not quite right.... (but is this a beach rod or a surf rod ?) The final results of the project once again exceeded expectations: - an impressive loading speed - instantaneous return with very little oscillation that zeroes in on wigs and breakage even with very thin threads - a rod that pushes and goes, and does so with progression while being fast right out of the box - a range of use from 75 to 175g, a rod therefore that with the exception of some specialized applications transcends the concept of a band, of an ideal lead, of a rod for rough or calm seas. - Center of gravity of the rod close to the reel seat for optimal balance ( absolute lightness brings no advantage if the balance is bad) For all these reasons we dared to call it the complete rod: "The Ultimate" Is it different from all others? The basic steps to take on a carpfishing trip are as follows : <ul> <li>Find a suitable location for fishing</li> <li>Probing the bottom</li> <li>Baiting</li> <li>Fishing for the biggest carp</li> </ul> Before looking at the various points for carp fishing preparation, let's look in detail at the fishing equipment used. For carpfishing nowadays specific equipment is sold for this technique, the fishing rods for carp fishing are two or three pieces and change according to their action, normally the action is measured in pounds. As for the reel we can find specific carpfishing reels on the market, they have a lever called the backstop lever that is used precisely to make sure that the monofilament is left free even when the fishing rod will be placed in the rod pod. <h3>The rod pod</h3> It is a rod holder purely used for carpfishing, the function of the rodpod is to alert us when the carp bites our bait, the rod pod has sound sensors and monkeys that will allow us to see and hear the bites of the fish. MICRO NICK The Vadese Mechanics Team developed this Rod Pod with those anglers in mind who need a support that is extremely reliable in terms of stability and adjustments but also very light and convenient to carry. Reaching the most secluded spots is not a problem, in fact µ-Nick has a negligible weight of 3.4 kg and an ergonomic shoulder carrying bag that leaves your hands free to be able to grab other bagals. The µ-Nick'08 Rod-Pod retains the functional features that have made Meccanica Vadese's pods great; in fact, it is equipped with the characteristic 360° joint and, of course, ample tilting movement designed to allow the three main rod setups: Tips in the water; Parallel to the ground; Tips to the sky. The pod is supplied with 3 standard pegs suitable for anchoring it to the ground for total stability even with tightened clutches; important merit of this mount is undoubtedly the characteristic locking of the tilting movement that is made with a comb cutter so as to ensure a powerful and totlamente reliable grip despite the small diameters. (See image of the center joint.) The Micronick represents among Meccanica Vadese's supports the one most devoted to recondite spots that are difficult to access with a lot of material attached. Its collected dimensions also make it a very suitable support for quarries and small waters, nothing and nobody obviously prohibits its use in large lakes and in fact this pod had its first tests in large waters such as Pusiano, Endine and Trasmeno without ever showing any deficiency despite the welcome and numerous catches accompanied by violent departures.
