With the arrival of the winter season, cuttlefish and squid fishing from the shore is open, it is only right that one should know how to get these cephalopods, previously I posted an article ( how to fish Calamari and Cuttlefish from the shore ) successful article, but this time I want to tell you about a new technique to cephalopod fishing, the technique is called ( EGING FISHING ) this new technique is completely targeted to cephalopods, but now let's go on to describe this deadly technique.
First you need to equip yourself with a spinning rod from 2 meters to 2.40, then equip yourself with a spinning reel, and finally with various artificials of different colors, to consider that not all artificials are good for the day, but for each period of the day should be changed, ( I will explain later the use of the artificials ) the artificials must be of those, common, shrimp-shaped with 2 crowns of pins at the end of the bust, the artificials must, be some with lead under the head, for cuttlefish and octopus, and some without lead for squid.
Now let's move on to fishing for these cephalopods, fill the reel with multifiber line of 0.15, is a shock-leader of 0.35 fluorocarbon, we tie a snap hook to the end of the line and hook the artificial, we cast as far as possible we wait for the artificial to settle on the bottom, and we start our fishing, giving 1 or 2 taps in a row making the artificial imitate the real shrimp, making it jump, stop a few seconds and retrieve some line with your hands, this is to feel if there is the cephalopod holding, if you feel nothing, retrieve some line and repeat the operation, when you hold the line in your hands and you realize there is prey, retrieve it slowly without jerking until the prey has come ashore.
Artificials should be changed according to the day, a phosphorescent artificial is suitable for the hours of darkness, for the morning an orange, white, pink or red color as long as they are phosphorescent is suitable for the early hours of dawn, for a sunny day all others are fine, but if there are no ferrates it is better to change colors, those covered in satin turn out to be the best, for dusk go artificials of very light colors so that they are noticeable even in the distance. To know that artificials with lead under the head make it so that when you get to the bottom the part behind with the pins stays up from the bottom, so that it does not curl up with some rocks or seaweed, the artificial with lead on 20- 25 grams by giving small taps they move forward jumping, making jumps about 20 centimeters long, then the bigger the Artificial, the longer are the jumps but with these you get on the beach immediately, the lead-free ones have the characteristic of moving sideways, left and right when giving taps, but these are suitable for squid because they go to the bottom only a few centimeters, and as you know squid prefer to stay in midwater, for squid to do this technique where the bottom is rocky or the bottom with seaweed, it is in these bottoms that they find their favorite food.

Cephalopod fishing is becoming increasingly popular in the Mediterranean as well. Herakles felt the need to create a series of rods dedicated to this technique. The blanks of the three rods in the range allow you to find the action needed for every situation.
Fishing for cephalopods (squid) and is more and more popular in the Mediterranean. The Herakles team felt the need to create a specific rod series for this technique. This series is made of 3 rods with different blanks allow the angler to have the best action for each situation.
